Position Overview: Regional Partner Development Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Regional Partner Development Manager to join our team. The Partner Development Regional Manager role provides an exciting opportunity to apply and hone business and sales skills (e.g. business development, marketing, sales) in an entrepreneurial environment. This role has a clear development path within the sales organization. You will be working to recruit and develop dealer partners to increase SunPower's industry leading market-share, but not yet included in SunPower's extensive dealer partner network. To succeed in this role you must possess a winning combination of organizational skills, project management expertise, along with hunter and farmer sales instincts.


Job Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Research and recruit contractor and service organization candidates to sell, design and install SunPower solutions
  • Facilitate high quality business opportunity presentations to Principal level audiences on the value of the SunPower partnership
  • Successfully execute new-to-solar on-boarding, training, and development program, transforming candidates into seasoned solar installation partners
  • Consistently exceed dealer recruitment, development and sales objectives
  • Provide ongoing mentoring and business partnership support for newly designated dealer partners
  • Ability to identify and cultivate new industries for partner recruitment and development



Related Experience & Educational Requirements
 

  • BS/BA degree is required
  • 3-5 years strong experience in sales/business development/channel development in a high ticket retail market (Solar, HVAC, Windows, Home Improvement)
  • Previous territory or regional management experience
  • Established expertise in moving from cold-call to close with prospective dealer candidates
  • Ability to help build organizations from the ground up, well positioned for growth
  • Mastery of switching focus from recruitment, to training, successful on-boarding, then back to recruitment
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally, and externally
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Gift of thriving in a fast-paced, fluid, and collaborative environment
  • Strong computer skills, including strength in CRM, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Project required

Other :    Up to 50% domestic, regional travel
