Position Overview:

In a team environment, the Test Development Manager/Sr. Engineer will create optoelectronic and thermo-mechanical test hardware, electronics and software to validate product compliance during the development of a new consumer electronics product and the support technologies. The environment is cross functional with aggressive schedules and multiple assignments to keep in balance.



Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • BS, MS or equivalent experience in Engineering or Physics with emphasis in optics and thermal mechanical designs.
  • Sound understanding of basic physics and engineering principles, balancing theory and practice
  • Mechanical & thermal engineering design and support experience using 3-D CAD
  • Working knowledge of PC support, networking, IO drivers, and basic PC tools such as MS Office
  • Demonstrated "Hands on" hardware, electronics and software capabilities
  • Advanced programming, Visual Basic, LabView or similar instrumentation control languages
  • Photometry and radiometric background used in LED test development and support
  • Proven ability to organize and problem solve, working independently and across the organization at an advanced level
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Data base creation and analysis using Access, Excel or SQL
  • Proven excellence in organization and communication across disciplines
  • Strong ability to structure and conduct engineering experiments using SDE and statistical analysis
  • Proven ability to staff and lead projects and organizations
  • Experience meeting UL and photometry and radiometric test processes IES LM-79 and LM-80 is strongly desired

Candidates must be local, indicate their proof of authorization to work in the United States and salary goals to be considered.
