NAES Corporation, a leading provider of 3rd party O&M services to the Independent Power Industry, is currently recruiting for an O&M Technician I at the Rialto Regional Biosolids Processing Facility.
Located in Rialto, California, the facility converts approximately 883 wet tons per day of biosolids from five municipalities in the Los Angeles region into 167 dry tons per day of renewable fuel. The renewable fuel, called E-Fuel, is used by a local cement kiln as an alternative to coal.
GENERAL SUMMARY
There are three levels of O&M Technician (I, II, III,). The O&M Technician I job function focus is on plant operation and maintenance. Each level will need to meet certain criteria, time limits, and satisfactory performance reviews before advancement.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Assists in the inspection, repair and operation of the facility.
Directs, assists and performs unloading and off-loading, and storage of supplies and bulk chemicals, including the operations of heavy equipment such as man lift and fork truck, as necessary.
Performs preventive maintenance on plant equipment such as lubrication, filter & seal replacements, component cleaning, etc.
Reads and records gauges and meters as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Completes qualification program for O&M Technician II position.
Keeps assigned work area clean at all times.
Assists in monitoring and evaluating the facility's safety, health and environmental programs.
Performs duties in a safe manner and is an active member of the safety committee.
Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
High school diploma required with college experience preferred.
No less than two years' experience in a related industry.
College credit preference with emphasis in a technical or science discipline such as I/E, mechanical, chemistry/lab or engineering. As an option to this education, industry or military technical training and/or experience such as pump/valve repair, I/E trade school, waste water treatment.
Skills commensurate with this position include one or more of the following: safety background in plants, CMMS knowledge, process plant operation, quality assurance background, lab/chemistry, PC user skills, inventory/warehousing and technical writing.
